Safety
The Dekobo slatted cover also gives safety. When it is closed, playing children and/or pets cannot fall in the water. The slats are strong enough to hold the weight of a child, but the cover has not been designed to be walked on.
For more safety and to ensure the cover can hold a bigger weight it is recommended to place stainless steel tubes, 5 cm under the water level.
The cover is not sensitive for wind. The slatts weight 5 Kg/m² and they stay on the water even by a strong wind.
Ease of Use
In comparison to hand controlled pool covers the automatic slatted cover of Dekobo open and close by the push of one single button on a remote control.
All the covers have a switch with two buttons which can be pushed to open and close the cover. There is also a key to shut down and to start the system.
The cover stops automatically on the desired and programmed "begin" and "end" position. The cover can be stopped in any position and time.
Remote Control
The remote control works with one single button. The remote is made of high tech electronics. It works with a narrow band width designed to avoid interference with other remotes like the one of a garage, etc. The signal is so powerful that you can control the cover while standing everywhere around the swimming pool.
Quality

All the parts are made of stainless steel type 316L, which has the highest resistance against salt and chloride.
The motors are made of high quality material with an electronic control to determine the “begin and end” position.
The motors are very powerful (120Nm, 250 Nm or 500 Nm).
The electronic device is suitable for the large voltage varriations in Spain so the adjustment of the slatted cover can be maintained.

Warranty
Dekobo gives two years of warranty on the motor and electronics and 5 years on the slats but depreciating after 2 years.
Slats
The slats are being winded on a reel which is driven by a 24V motor. This reel can be installed on the edge of the pool with a cover made of polyester or ecological wood.
There are different ways to install the reel into the swimming pool:
- in a niche
- in/on the bottom
Dekobo has a solution with a reel with a motor inside which is easy to install so its not necessary to drill a hole through the wall.
The swimming pool cover can be designed for a irregular shaped swimming pool. By placing two reels in the bottom of the swimming pool it is possible to cover such a pool.
Solar
Dekobo introduces slats which are ideal for the Spanish climate. The slats are transparent with a black layer. The black layer absorbs all the solar energy and passes it on to the water to heat up the swimming pool. At the same time the slat isolates by its chambers filled with air which prevents the swimming pool from cooling down during the night.
Policarbonate
Solar slats made of polycarbonate are an exclusivity of Dekobo. The Polycarbonate slats start to deform at a temperature of 140ºC unlike PVC which starts to deform by a temperature of 78ºC. Polycarbonate is very resistant to impacts and low temperatures. Dekobo also has transparent slats made of polycarbonate which is an interesting alternative for people who have a swimming pool with light.
